Following his association with the School of Paris, this chronological edition is richly illustrated with vivid reproductions of life in bohemian Paris. Includes the graphic works and works on paper. This set, Volumes 1-2, covers paintings, watercolors, pastels and drawings. Volume 1 accompanied by separately issued index with title: Pascin, Index Historique des Oeuvres. At the outbreak of World War I, after a decade in Paris, Pascin relocated to the United States, later becoming an American citizen. His most frequent subject was women, depicted in casual poses, usually nude or partly dressed. Among Pascin's circle of Parisian friends was Ernest Hemingway, whose memoir A Moveable Feast includes a chapter titled 'With Pascin At the Dôme,' which recounts a night in 1923 when he met Pascin and two of his young models for drinks at the café.
