Thornycroft from his father, Xmas, 1916. Profusely illustrated with coloured plates, photogravure plates and black and white plate…s throughout. Top edges gilt. Some foxing in places. Bound in the publishers full red morocco with red marbled endpapers, raised bands and heavy gilt decoration. The front inner hinge is slightly cracked, only marbled paper. The edges are rubbed and there is what looks like and ink stain to the lower part of the spine. Generally a very good copy of this magnificent production. A most interesting ownership and presentation from Thornycroft who were ship builders. Scarce. Profusely illustrated throughout. (illustratore).
