Prima edizione di questo gruppo di scritti, ritrovati ed editi dal Mai. La prima parte contiene porzioni di opere, con testo greco e latino, di Filone Ebreo, nato ad Alessandria intorno al 20 a.C. La parte seconda del volume abbraccia una quantità di frammenti dei commenti dei vari interpreti delle opere di Viriglio; essi, come le due belle incisioni al tratto presenti, da un codice dell'Ambrosiana.
