The pictorial boards are somewhat sun faded and edge worn but everything holds together on the binding despite a bit of cracking to the inner hinge. We think from our research that this was published around the mid 1880s and the small, neat gift inscription of the half title pages helps us with this as it is dated '95 (1895.) The pages are clean throughout although with some browning/toning and mild to moderate foxing here and there. Overall this is a charming and collectable copy.
