John Keith Ewers (1904-1978) was an Australian novelist, poet, and short story writer from Western Australia. He was known for writing about Australian life and history, often focusing on local events and landscapes. Who Rides on the River is mentioned as part of his body of work, particularly in relation to Australian exploration and historical themes. "Who Rides on the River?" is a children's book written by J.K. Ewers, published in 1956. It tells the fictional account of Charles Sturt's exploration of the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers in 1829-30.
