Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - 'Moscow Unmasked: A Record of Nine Years' Work and Observation in Soviet Russia' offers a compelling and unfiltered look at the reality of life under the early Soviet regime. Written by Joseph Douillet, who spent nearly a decade living and working in Russia during its most transformative years, this work serves as a detailed eyewitness account of the social, economic, and political shifts following the Russian Revolution. Douillet provides a unique perspective, moving beyond official propaganda to reveal the struggles of the common citizen and the inner workings of the Bolshevik state. The book delves into various aspects of Soviet society, including the judicial system, the state of industry, and the day-to-day existence of those living in Moscow. With a focus on personal observation and documented evidence, it explores the gap between socialist ideals and the harsh realities of totalitarian rule. As a historical document, 'Moscow Unmasked' is an invaluable resource for readers interested in 20th-century history, political science, and the complex legacy of the Soviet Union. Its sharp analysis and vivid descriptions offer a window into a pivotal era that reshaped the global political landscape. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
