Paul van Ostaijen (22 February 1896 â" 18 March 1928) Het eerste boek van Schmoll (The First Book of Schmoll), the titled being derived from a piano teaching technique much used in the 1920s. The poet aimed at "word play that is anchored in metaphysics. The pocket at the rear of the book contains a 45 rpm record never before released on record! Music by Aug L. Baeijens and Karel Albert with lyric poems by Paul van Ostaijen. The 6 pieces are performed by Lode Devos, Jr. on piano. Included is the songbook for these same six compositions.
