Um ihre Moglichkeiten und Kapazitiiten optimal auszuschopfen, sollten auch fiir diese Kleinrechner Programmbiblio theken zur Verfugung stehen. Der vorliegende Band enthalt eine Sammlung nutzlicher Programme der numerischen Mathematik fiir den programmierbaren Taschenrechner TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TI 59. Zugrundegelegt wurde das im gleichen Verlag erschienene Buch 'Einfuhrung in die Methoden der Numerischen Mathematik' von Wolfgang Bohm und Gunther Gose (Vieweg, Braunschweig 1977), aus dem Gliederung und Bezeichnungsweise ubernommen wurden, um die Anwendung und das Arbeiten mit den Program men zu erleichtern. Hier findet der interessierte Leser neben der theoretischen Herleitung auch die fluBdiagrammahnlichen Algorithmen, nach denen die Programme erstellt wurden. Einen kurzen Oberblick uber die Handhabung des Rechners liefert das Kapitel 0 'Einfiihrung'. Oem im Umgang mit dem TI 59 ungeubten Leser sei zunachst ein intensives Studium der zum Rechner gehorenden Bedienungsanleitung 'Individuelles Programmieren', insbesondere der Abschnitte I, II und VII empfohlen. Mein ganz besonderer Dank gilt Herrn Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Bohm, dessen Vorlesungen ich die Freude an der numerischen Mathematik verdanke.
