El conjunto se extiende desde el este de Leipzig hasta el oeste de Wroclaw, aproximadamente desde los 12,5 a los 16 grados este, en torno al paralelo 51. La explicación de su composición se encuentra al pie de la sección VIII. Es de señalar que uno de los cartografos que participaron, Johann G. Lehmann, fue el ?inventor? de las tramas de relieve para indicar, con la mayor densidad de la trama, la mayor inclinación de la superficie. También que los sectores 1, 2, 6, 8, 9 y 10 fueron dibujados por el propio Franz Heinrich Backenberg (1754-1813) y el sector 4 por Johann Georg Lehmann (1765-1811), sin información sobre quién o quiénes dibujaron los sectores 3, 5 y 7. Y que fueron grabados por C. Keyl, el joven, los sectores 1 y 4, por Carl Christian Maximilian Keyl (1766-1819) el sector 2, y por Justus G.
