Prima edizione di uno straordinario vasto studio di anatomia, ad opera di Daniel Leclerc (1652-1728) e Jean-Jacques Manget (1652-1742), storici e primi bibliografi di medicina e anatomia. Nella presente opera i due autori riassumono gli autorevoli studi di scienza anatomica del passato: di William Harvey particolarmente, con numerose illustrazioni, di Swammerdam, Malpighi, Bellini, Glisson, Derckring, Lower, Mayow, Steno, Willis, ed altri. Una eccellente analisi sull'opera di Leclerc et Manget si trova nella prima edizione 1719 del Morgagni G.B. "Adversaria Anatomica omnia". Voluminosa e importante opera di scienza anatomica.
