Der Einband ist leicht berieben, die Seiten sind papierbedingt angebräunt, ansonsten ein sehr gutes und sauberes Exemplar ohne Anstreichungen. - (Auszug:) ERSTER AKT Der Wartesaal ist ziemlich g…roß und sehr hoch. Er ist kurz nach der Jahrhundertwende gebaut und, wie damals üblich, die Nachahmung einer romanischen Burghalle. Ein- und Ausgang zum Bahn- steig sind hinten Mitte. Es war einmal eine hohe Doppelflügel- tür mit Glasfenstern. Die Glasscheiben sind jetzt durch Holzplatten ersetzt, auch die Doppeltür selbst ist wild vernagelt. Nur in der rechten Hälfte ist primitiv eine einfache Tür aus rohem Holz montiert. Das ist jetzt der einzige Ein- und Ausgang. Die Wand des Wartesaals war vor langer Zeit einmal ockerfarben getüncht. Jetzt ist sie in verschiedenen Farbschattierungen schmutzig-braun, der Putz ist abgefallen, Stuckverzierungen abgebrochen, das rohe Mauerwerk sieht an manchen Stellen durch. Rechts (vom Schauspieler aus) eine Theke, an der längst nicht mehr ausgeschenkt wird. Über der Theke in einem gemauerten Rund- bogen eine gemalte Rheinlandschaft im Jugendstil, die jetzt verblasst und kaum noch zu erkennen ist. Im Saal stehen vier oder fünf verschieden große Wirtshaustische herum, Stühle aus Holz oder Eisen jedoch gleicht kaum ein Stuhl dem anderen []. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 250.

An der Koblenzer Straße in Bonn residierte das Auswärtige Amt der jungen Bundesrepublik. Viele der dort Tätigen waren tiefer in die Machenschaften des alten Deutschland verstrickt, als sie zugaben. Der Journalist Michael Mansfeld (1922-1979) hieß eigentlich Eckart Heinze und erzählt durch die fiktive Figur Robert von Lenwitz seine Erfahrungen mit den alten "Kameraden" und deren Machenschaften in den Bonner Nachkriegsjahren.
