Questa è l' edizione interamente rivista ed aumentata dal medico calabrese, mancato nel 1843 a soli 38 anni, Pasquale Monterossi. L' opera è suddivisa in tre parti e otto capitoli, vi sono trattate le malattie femminili dalle mestruazione, con cui si apre il trattato, dall' età pubere all' età critica con la cessazione del mestruo, per poi occuparsi delle malattie legate alla generazione: dal concepimento, alla gravidanza, allo sgravio, all' allattamento.
