This delightful classic follows the adventures of a group of birds and the creatures they meet, as they come together to celebrate a grand party in the garden of a stately home. The extravagant descriptions of the fashionable attire worn by the avian guests, based on the styles popular during the Victorian era, provide a whimsical insight into the author's imagination. As the garden comes alive with music and merriment, a romance blooms between the Peacock, the host of the festivities, and the beautiful Swan, capturing the essence of courtship and love in the natural world. Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the world of birds and insects through the lens of a playful and imaginative narrative. The author invites young readers to step into a whimsical world where peacocks host grand balls, butterflies throw lavish fetes, and ladybirds venture into the human world. This charming tale offers a delightful blend of natural history and engaging storytelling, reminiscent of the popular "Conversations for the Use of Young Persons" by Mrs. Smith. The author utilizes an anthropomorphic approach to explore themes of social hierarchy, individual identity, and the fleeting nature of beauty. Through vibrant descriptions of avian gatherings, elaborate costumes, and elaborate feasts, the book subtly underscores the importance of community and the transient nature of earthly pleasures. Readers are left with a lasting impression of the interconnectedness of life and the value of appreciating each creature's unique place in the natural world.
