Occasional notes on the front pastedown endpaper of a few volumes. Pages are otherwise unmarked and generally quite clean Little or NO foxing in nearly all volumes. The lot of 18 volumes offered here includes: Volume 30 (1897), 34 (1901), 38 (1905), 40 (1907), 41 (1908), 42 (1909), 43 (1910), 44 (1911), 45 (1912), 46 (1913), 47 (1914), 48 (1915), 49 (1916), 50 (1917), 51 (1918), 54 (1921), 69 (1936), 70 (1937). All 18 volumes have illustrations in the text, plates, a List of contributors, and General Subject Index. Most also have a "Special Index" with several new genera, species marked with an asterisk. The set is bound in gilt-stamped red cloth -- not entirely uniform -- several have a gilt-stamped butterfly (or moth) on the front cover -- others don't. SEE PHOTOS (which show 20 vols, but 2 are no longer included).
