Peron ne aveva annunciato l'imminente pubblicazione nel 1952 dopo la scomparsa della moglie, ma motivazioni di opportunità politica lo fecero ricredere e il testo rimase segreto. Solo nel 1987 ricomparve in modo fortuito tra le carte di un notaio che era stato al servizio del Presidente argentino. Un documento fondamentale per conoscere la figura politica che ancora oggi a oltre settant'anni dalla morte, è protagonista della vita del suo paese e continua a incendiare gli animi degli ultimi della terra. They were married in 1945 and she served as the first lady of Argentina from 1946 until her untimely death in 1952.
