Il fondo è interessante sia sotto il profilo storico-documentario in quanto propone varie tipologie ornamentali, notevoli per la particolare valenza estetica, sia per le tecniche di lavorazione e infine per l'insolita dimensione di alcuni frammenti, eccezionalmente giunti in buone condizioni conservative sino a noi.
