Soft cover with warmly illustrated covers showing children playing around the borders, with numbers and arithmetic operations above and below the title. Some sunning to spine and general browning, with a small crease to the bottom right corner of the front cover. Internally clean with a small pencil annotation inside the rear cover. Wonderfully illustrated. Very Good.

One of my favourites is Saint James' Park "Pelican Pelican why are you here.Your feathers are soiled and your beak is so queer.Citizen Citizen everyone knows.My beak is where most of your income-tax goes" Full of daftness and eccentricities , the tone is uplifting and should put a smile on your face. Interior has small stain to top edge of first blank page and title page otherwise clean with no writing, marks or tears. Front cover has stain to top edges as shown in photo, seams and hinges in tact, all pages tight in binding.

Bound in dark red cloth, lettering and publisher logo stamped in black on spine, head edges painted brown, laid paper. Cloth unevenly faded; former owner bookplate of Paul Jordan Smith on front pastedown. In the illustrated dust jacket that shows edge-wear and age-toning, especially on spine; closed tear running along fold between front panel and spine for three inches. Price of 7/6 intact on front flap. Former owner Jordan-Smith was the American lecturer and scholar of English literature whose art movement, "Disumbrationism," was eventually revealed as a hoax. Wilbur Jordan Smith, his son, ran UCLA Special Collections from 1950s-1970 or so. The dust jacket illustration by Herry Perry is quintessentially British for the era, albeit a bit dated and seems stylistically more in keeping with 1925 than '33. Dust jacket is now enclosed in a removable, clear archival sleeve.

Graves reflects on his personal relationship with Lawrence as well as Lawrence's general life and career. In publisher's original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Publisher's blue postcard tipped in. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing and a few marks. Dust wrapper shows visibly more moderate marking and a number of small closed tears to edges and particularly to the head of spine. Internally, bright and clean with the odd spot, more common to the first and last few pages. Very Good. book.

Original vintage London Transport travel poster - Country Joys from Ealing Common Station General Route 98 (Sunday Only) - featuring stunning artwork by the British artist Heather Perry (Herry; 1893-1962) showing people on a red rover open topped double decker bus with a sign on the side reading Traveller's Joy driving along a lane in the countryside with people enjoying the nature and outdoors by swimming and paddling, playing with a toy boat and fishing on a river, playing tennis and cricket, hiking, camping, feeding pigs with other farm animals including sheep and a cow in the fields, riding a horse and birdwatching, walking the dog and having a picnic under the shade of trees with chickens running by a Red Lion pub and the information below with the General logo and printed text in the bottom left corner reading - To Mark Finished on the Octave of All Saints 1929 Herry Perry. Ealing Common is located in West London designated a common land in 1866; the open area includes an avenue of chestnut trees, a closed park and a local protected conservation area. The Ealing Common underground station was opened in 1879. The Catholic Octave of All Saints takes place in November. Printed by The Dangerfield Printing Co., Ltd, London.
