This very large hard cover book (10 ¼ x 13 inches, 219 pages plus a fold-out map of African Cultures at the rear) was published by World Publishing of Cleveland and New York, dated 1968 and the First Edition (so stated). The book is bound in beige cloth boards with prominent gilt titles on the spine; it is protected by a colorful pictorial dust jacket, itself encased in a plastic sleeve. This book is very well illustrated, with about 60 tipped-in color plates at the outset, followed by another 130 pages, many with multiple b&w photos of sculpture pieces. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some edge wear to the dust jacket, top & bottom and the plastic protective sleeve also has a crack on the leading edge. The upper corner of the front flap of the dust jacket is clipped but they missed cutting out the price. The hard covers are clean and bright with some faint bumping to the bottom corners and spine tip. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square (amazing for a book of this size). This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
