This set is edited by Frances Pitt (1888-1964), a British naturalist, author and a pioneer of wildlife photography. Undated, dated through copies held at the British Library. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, fairly smart, with fading and shelf wear to the spines and extremities. Cloth to rear joint of Vol I is splitting to the head of the spine; cloth is lifting. Cloth to the front joint of Vol IV has split, and there are marks to the rear board of this volume.
