Mode…sta legatura in cartone rigido marmorizzato, con spellature ai margini e al dorso, cui è applicata artigianale menda cartacea. Tagli spruzzati. Leggera brunitura uniforme. Graziosa vignetta calcografica ripetuta ai due frontespizi. Una ulteriore incisione nel testo, oltre a capilettera e fregi decorativi. "Per legge suntuaria si intende ogni dispositivo legislativo che abbia lo scopo di limitare il consumo legato all'ostentazione del lusso, in particolare nella moda maschile e femminile, oppure di regolare l'abbigliamento di determinati gruppi sociali obbligandoli a indossare segni distintivi" (da Wikipedia). Nell'antica Roma era già in vigore nel 215 a.c. la "Lex Oppia". La dissertazione è opera dello studioso tedesco Friedrich Plattner (Lipsia, 1730?1770). 300 gr.
