Dazu werden die Methoden Concept Mapping und Computersimulation angewendet. Im Rahmen der Arbeit wurden das Computerprogramm CCMap und eine Computersimulation zum Vergleich der Handlungen programmiert, erprobt und evaluiert. Anhand der in Concept Maps, Experiment- und Simulationsprotokollen erhobenen Schülerdaten wurde eine Wirkung des Unterrichts festgestellt. Dabei ist sowohl das erhobene Wissen als auch das Handeln in der Realsituation und in der Computersimulation auf den Unterricht zurückzuführen. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass ein besseres Wissen nicht zu größerer Handlungskompetenz führt, wohl aber umgekehrt: Probanden, die erfolgreich handeln, zeigen einen größeren Wissenszuwachs als diejenigen, die nicht erfolgreich handeln.
