Aggiungi al carrellohardcover. Condizione: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.

Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Peytet (illustratore). This ships in a protective archival sleeve. Classic Jazz Age sheet music issued during the height of the American ukulele craze of the 1920s. 'Ukulele Lady' became one of the best-known Hawaiian-themed popular songs of the era, combining Tin Pan Alley songwriting with the period fascination for South Pacific and Hawaiian imagery. The striking late-Art Nouveau/early-Art Deco cover illustration depicts a fashionable flapper figure framed by palm silhouettes and a sunset seascape in vivid blue, orange, black, and cream tones. Interior includes vocal arrangement, piano score, ukulele chord diagrams, and period advertising for other Irving Berlin publications, including 'Yearning (Just for You).' Particularly notable is the ukulele arrangement by pioneering performer and educator May Singhi Breen, later celebrated as 'The Original Ukulele Lady,' whose work helped popularize ukulele chord notation in American sheet music. Condition: Very Good. Complete and structurally sound with moderate edgewear, corner creasing, light handling marks, and small chips at extremities. Spine fold remains intact with minor separation at edges. Interior music pages clean and legible. Rear cover bears a small period retailer/distributor stamp reading 'Weyman, Phila., PA,' adding a modest trace of regional provenance from the Philadelphia music trade. Color saturation on the front cover remains attractive and display-worthy. Edition/printing determination: original 1925 issue with Irving Berlin, Inc. imprint at 1607 Broadway, New York, and 1925 copyright statement ('MCMXXV') printed to interior and rear advertisement page. Early original sheet music printings from this period are typically undifferentiated beyond copyright data and publisher address. Gus Kahn (1886-1941) was among the most successful lyricists of the Tin Pan Alley era, responsible for standards such as 'Makin' Whoopee,' 'Dream a Little Dream of Me,' and 'It Had to Be You.' Composer Richard A. Whiting (1891-1938) was a prolific American songwriter whose melodies became central to early popular music and Hollywood musicals. Ukulele arranger May Singhi Breen (1891-1970), often called the 'First Lady of the Ukulele,' played a major role in the instrument's explosive American popularity during the 1920s and 1930s.
