Profusely illus…trated with mostly black and white plates, some fold-out, showing Ryggen's extraordinary tapestries, deceptively rustic in style, with weighty themes protesting against war, the abuses of power, and authoritarian regimes. Ryggen used wool from her own sheep and devised her own dyes. Quite rare.
