Die Möbelprogramme von Selmanagic und Ehrlich wurden von den Deutschen Werkstätten als dem bald führenden Möbelhersteller der DDR realisiert. In Westdeutschland fanden sie Parallelen im Typenmöbelprogramm M 125 von Hans Gugelot und im INwand-System von Herbert Hirche. In Hellerau wiederum führte Rudolf Horn zur selben Zeit mit seinem MDW-Montagemöbelsystem die Möbelgestaltung zu einem neuen Höhepunkt.
