Hardcover. Condizione: Acceptable. Some stray pencil marks throughout. Some wear and rubbing to the edges. A poem pasted in the front cover, dated 1842. This has seen water in the top half, dried pretty cleanly, not that dark - but you can notice it. I note every flaw I find, so buy with confidence.

Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. No Jacket. 5th or later Edition. A handsome early 19th-century edition of Scott's celebrated narrative poem, bound in full contemporary calf. The boards are decorated with a gilt-tooled dotted border, and the spine has raised bands with gilt compartment tooling and a morocco label. Marbled endpapers throughout in a rich green, pink, and gilt pattern. The binding shows honest wear consistent with its age: rubbing and scuffing to the leather on both boards, with scattered surface scratches; the front joint is cracking with some splitting at the head and tail of the spine (text block remains firmly attached); corners are bumped and show some wear through to the boards. The spine leather is worn with some loss, particularly toward the head and tail. Internally, the text block is clean and complete, with the title page, dedication leaf (to Charles, Earl of Dalkeith), and full text through to the closing "THE END" on p. 351 all present. There is light to moderate foxing and some scattered spotting on the title page and a number of leaves throughout, along with a faint ghosting/offset impression of the title-page text visible on the facing blank leaf — typical of paper and ink of the period. No major tears, no loose leaves noted, no writing or ownership marks visible in the photographs. Overall: a solid, displayable copy of an important Romantic-era poem in its original leather, showing appropriate wear for a book over two centuries old, with a complete and legible text block.

Softcover. Condizione: Very Good. Unknown edition. Quarto. Single bifolium with a single sheet insert making four pages. Pages have been trimmed on all sides (perhaps to fit into a smaller piano bench or a smaller album) not affecting any content, notched and worn along the fold from once being bound within an album, heavy foxing and toning throughout, a small stain at the bottom of the front cover affecting the verso, and separating a bit at the ends of the fold, still a very good copy. For voice and piano. *OCLC* locates five holdings and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. Illustrated with engravings, from the designs of Richard Westall. Very good early edition book. Professionally restored as to boards, spine and end papers. An original blank FFEP follows two new blank ones; then the half-title page "Marmion. A Romance. In Six Cantos", then the title-page with engraving and tissue-guard. A total of six engravings plus title engraving, all with tissue-guards. Consistent with the first edition, line 5 of the notes on page xvii reads "First lerges." (rather than "derges").
