Large hardcover with excellent pages (slightly age-yellowed) and fair exterior (3cm piece missing at the top of the spine, foxing spots, other light wear). The dust jacket is poor, with segments missing, and yet is presentable and preserved by a clear, removeable cover. 38 pages of photographs of Sydney, Australia. The most notable feature of this book is a bookplate inside the front cover, dated 1952, which includes the signature of Mayor Ernest Charles O'Dea ("E.C.O'Dea"), as well as the signature of the Town Clerk, which is not discernable. On one side is information about Hong Kong as a tourist destination, Qantas's service flying there and a map of the downtown areas of Hong Kong. On the other side is a collage of paintings and drawings of Hong Kong, by Gert Sellheim, an Australian-German artist who also produced posters for the Australian National Travel Association, and most famously designed Qantas's flying kangaroo logo.
