Mild EX-LIBRARY with NO external markings on the spine or covers (the only library markings are four blacked out ink stamps). The spine is square and flat with NO creases. Pages are clean and crisp. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. 1985/86 edition. A scholarly study of English 17th century printers from 1642 that covers the careers of Stephen and John Bulkley, Thomas and Alice Broad, John White I of York, and Thomas Wayt. "In this research paper are assembled the greatest number of Stephen Bulkley imprints so far collected together for comparative inspection." Each of the other sections is also heavily illustrated, mostly with title page facsimiles. Most imprints are from London, Newcastle, Gateshead and especially York. This study takes into account many advances made for the revised edition of Wing. On some points, the author flatly contradicts Plomer's DICTIONARY: 1668 TO 1725. Bound in the original green wraps, printed in black. 8.25" wide by 11.5" tall. Overseas shipping is available at the standard rate (no extra charge). 1985/86 edition. Oversize Softcover.
