In 1923, Thalberg, then a producer at Louis B. Mayer Pictures, invited Shearer to come sign with the studio. After four years working together the pair woul…d marry, purportedly attributable to Shearer's determination to win Thalberg's heart. The couple would remain married until Thalberg's unexpected death of pneumonia in 1936, at the age of 37. 7.5 x 9.5 inches. Lightly age toned, else Near Fine.
