Handwritten entry to pre-title page dated 1907 - no other date of publication showing. crimson decorative boards showing a canoe trip in river, and a ship with gilt titling to spine which is rounded to both ends - but no loss. internally, ffeps are tanned and carry a tiny pencil pricing, which may well rub off. Marked tarnish points to early pages, and text block is tanned. all pages present.

Prize label on the front pastedown, dated 1913. From the collection of illustrated juvenile fiction (1890- 1930) of Brian Mills (ÕThe DreamerÕ) (1939- 2011). He left no signs of his ownership but they are distinguished by their excellent bright condition in a genre that often shows up rather wornÉhe was known to constantly upgrade his collection. Clean, very good indeed. Excellent condition.
