Plates signed by: T. Atkins, I, Basire, W. Jett, T. Bowles, Jos. Nicholls, Parr, W. Pritchard, and W.H. Toms. § Lewis-Walpole Library only (defective). An unsophisticated copy, sewn (some leaves still attached by a single thread), effectively disbound, original fragile paper wrappers present. Early ink ownership name concealed in early ink at foot of title (letterpress of following leaf, Sir John Falstaff, affected); single word (or ownership name) in a period hand above. Some corners dog-eared & turned, some early staining & soiling, a few short tears to margins (sometimes just touching image), touch of slight worming to margin of last seven plates, well clear of image. In generally good condition & preserved in a purpose-made, velvet slip-case.
