Hardcover, bound in color pictorial boards backed with a red cloth spine, with a bright color illustration by R. J. Wealthy on the front cover. The covers are slightly rubbed and soiled and the corners are bumped. [50] unnumbered pages, with a full-page color frontispiece by Louis Wain and 49 vignettes, 14 of which are colored or tinted. Of the 49 vignettes, 34 are signed "Louis Wain" in the print and 15 are unsigned. The title page vignette is by "E. Ledward". The front hinge is cracked and the pages are slightly darkened. An early owner's inscription, dated "1917" is penned on the front endpaper. Very good.
