Schüler von Johann Georg Wille in Paris. Siedelte um 1780 nach Hamburg über, wo er bis 1800 im Hause der Gräfin Bentinck lebte. Weisbrod arbeitete mit Robert Daudet, François Jacques Dequevauvillier und Jacque Philippe Le Bas zusammen, die seine Platten vollendeten.Jan Brueghel d.Ä. (1568 Brüssel - 1625 Antwerpen). Flämischer Maler. Sohn des Pieter Brueghel des Älteren. Einen ersten Unterricht erhielt er von seiner Großmutter, der Miniaturmalerin Marie de Bessemers, bekannt als Mayken Verhulst. Später war er wohl Schüler von Pieter Goetkint und Gillis van Coninxloo. Ab 1590 ist Brueghel in Italien unterwegs. 15951596 ist er in Diensten des Kardinals Federigo Borromeo. 1597 wurde Brueghel in die Antwerpener Sint-Lucasgilde aufgenommen.
