Condizione: Gut. 400 Seiten; sehr zahlr. Illustrationen; fadengeh. Orig.-Pappband m. illustr. OUmschlag. Gutes Ex.; Umschlag berieben u. m. kl. Läsuren. - This book is the first to detail, discuss and illustrate the entire output of one of the great movje companies. A total of 1705 films are covered individually in text and pictures. More, in fact, than MGM has actually produced because independent productions distributed by MGM, ranging from 'spaghetti westerns' to 'Gone With The Wind', are also included. Here is the glamour of nostalgia, with all the facts and figures of MGM's film making from 1924-1974 arranged in chronological order, all the stars and the details of their careers, all the producers and directors, writers and photographers. The author has drawn on his thirty eight years of experience with MGM to amass the history, the legends, and the inside stories about the company's triumphs and failures. Finally, there are many unique and previously unpublished stills among the vast collection.
