L'artista tedesco disegna scene sensibili e sottili che sono tuttavia cupe. A ben guardare, il suo immaginario colorato e onirico minaccia di rovesciarsi nel suo opposto - un incubo. I suoi soggetti sono costruiti in un complesso e vario sistema di segni che include immagini tradizionali, rimosse dal lessico popolare, poi consapevolmente distorte ed espanse.
