Excellent example of this Victorian-era shape book printed with embossed covers and chromolithographic illustrations. The Prices wrote and illustrated a number of similar-themed titles. The front cover depicts two flying angels and and the covers themselves are designed and shaped as the wings of an angel. This example has no imprint. Its illustrated envelope is is partly printed in silver. Two issues, found in two copies total, are found in OCLC. One is published in London, the other in Melbourne.

Printed in Bavaria, Undated, but found a copy listed in Cambridge University Library dated 1888? illustrated throughout with nature themed vignettes in both colour and in black and white. Book held together with the original thin cord. So very delicate and not surprised it is so very rare, in fact at the time of listing there were no copies for sale & only found one copy listed on WorldCat. In the Cambridge University Library.

Neale, George Herbert and others, for every day in the month (31) , accompanied by charming chromolithographic full glossy colour prints (the first true multi-colour printing method) and sepia illustrations. Full colour pictorial (chromolithographic) paper covered boards with a light blue cloth spine. The edge of the boards are a little rubbed and marked but overall this is an Excellent Very Clean, Tight and Bright copy. Plain endpapers - slightly marked at the edges. 24 pp. Printed in Bavaria - and very similar to the lovely Ernest Nister publications of the period. A delightful period item. Now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks VG. ; Square-ish 24mo 5" - 6" tall.

Pages are bright with age toning throughout, predominantly to the first and last few pages. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good. book.
