Wichtige und häufig auftretende Krankheitsbilder werden besonders ausführlich abgehandelt. Da die apparativen Neuentwicklungen die Gefahr einer Überbewertung ihrer Aussagekraft in sich bergen, findet ein "diagnostisches Flußdiagramm" besondere Berücksichtigung. Il lavoro di Ciaccio ha ridefinito le modalità tradizionali degli strumenti e delle processualità della stampa originale, così come il concetto di matrice, di serialità e di riproducibilità tecnica. Le lastre…matrici, origine di monoprints e monotipi, divengono nel corso del processo operativo opere a se stanti dotate di una assoluta autonomia ed espressività. Le grandi lastre di metalli diversi (ferro, rame, ottone, zinco) e le grandi opere su carta, così come la serie dei piccoli fogli di papier japon, aprono spazi illusori tridimensionali al proprio interno attraverso le molteplici stratificazioni dei piani e dei valori cromatici. Dalla sottile modulazione delle velature dei colori dal timbro oscuro (dai viola ai blu, ai rossastri, ai bruni) scaturiscono figure come presenze fantasmatiche, i Revenants, in un continuo apparire e dissolversi dell'immagine, in un suo divenire nella trasparenza stessa dell'opera. Se il rigore delle serie, il loro ritmo, la scelta dei materiali freddi come i metalli e taluni procedimenti analitici sembrano aderire a una accezione minimalista dell'opera, una dimensione più intensamente lirica ne pervade tuttavia la poetica. I caratteri timbrici, cromatici delle opere e il ritmo delle loro variazioni sequenziali inducono un pensiero visivo intensamente musicale in cui la tensione intervallare e il riverbero del suono assumono particolare rilevanza.
