Gran was the skiing instructor on Scott's last expedition, and was a member of the party that discovered the bodies of Scott and his colleagues. This is the first appearance of his expedition diary, which was not translated into English until 1984 (The Norwegian with Scott). Inscribed copies are very scarce, this being a presentation copy from the book's puiblisher. Inscribed by Author(s).
