The rear panel has a five inch diagonal line or scratch across it - this may be a production flaw - and a few other light marks. Page edges and endpapers are lightly browned with 'FileCopy' stamped on the front free endpaper. 'Archive Copy' stamped on the half-title page but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Price-clipped jacket has chipping to the top of the spine with half-inch tears on either side. There is chipping to the top edge near the spine and at the top corners. There are two half-inch closed tears to the bottom edge of the rear panel. First printing.
