Sadly this spoils a very handsome copy.The front end end paper is discoloured around the edges and has an onwrship inscription on its verso; pp xliii to xli have minor circular loss to the blank outer edge near the head. Internally the book is very good, clean, unamarked and solid. A very good copy, with good only boards.

He is based on Oisín, son of Finn or Fionn mac Cumhaill, a character from Irish mythology. Although the poems were well-received, many critics voiced concerns about their authenticity, a debate that continued into the 20th century. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Hardcover.
