Pleine percaline rouge de la collection, ornée sur le premier plat d'une beau médaillon où figure dans un bureau, l'héroïne debout, un livre ouvert dans les mains, tranches dorées. Reliure signée Le Nègre. Ce petit roman normand est illustré dans le texte par de nombreuse vignettes et huit figures à pleine… page. Elles sont signées par l'artiste originaire de Belgique Jules Pelcoq (productif entre 1866 et 1888). Très bel exemplaire.
