Grey green cloth with black titles, 188pp, no illus. This is a pocket size dictionary of culinary terms and foods. so under "Mumbled Hare" we get: Minced cooked hare's meat, spiced and acidulated, put nto stew-pan with beaten eggs and butter, and cooked to consistency by constant stirring". This book grow out of a dictionary that he had prepared for his students. (1.3 JM HOQ 102/a4 Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Strangely the latinised date for 1913 is written MDCDXIII, rather than the more generally used MCMXIII.

Still not a bad copy for its age and fragility. Scarce.
