Hardcover. Condizione: gut. 1985. Die Anregung, mich überhaupt um die "Kleinen Schriften von Alfred Döblin zu bemühen, kam von der Veranstaltung "Unterwegs im Land der 17.000 Inseln" am 20. Oktober 2015 im Berliner Kammermusiksaal, normalerweise mit hervorragenden Informationen moderiert von Roger Willemsen, der leider wegen Krebserkrankung seine Veranstaltung nicht bedienen konnte. Der zu diesem Anlass von Udo Samel vorgetragene Text aus Band I der Kleinen Schriften hat mich angesprochen, weil ich den ironischen Blick auf - beispielsweise - gesellschaftliche Usancen und Verhältnisse zu teilen geneigt bin. Dies hat mich veranlasst, diese mir bisher völlig unbekannten Texte zu beschaffen. Ein Abend Literatur darinnen hat mich sehr amüsiert. Empfehlenswert! Alfred Döblin, geboren am 10. August 1878 als Sohn einer jüdischen Kaufmannsfamilie, war Nervenarzt in Berlin; dort begründete er auch die expressionistische Zeitschrift "Der Sturm" mit. 1933 emigrierte Döblin nach Paris, 1940 floh er nach Amerika und konvertierte zum Katholizismus. Nach dem Krieg kehrte er als französischer Offizier nach Deutschland zurück. Er war Herausgeber der Literaturzeitschrift "Das goldene Tor" (1946-1951) und Mitbegründer der Mainzer Akademie (1949). 1953 übersiedelte er wieder nach Paris. Er starb am 26.
